Chair of the Board:
Colleen Ramsey – Idaho Power Company
As the Manager of the Delivery Construction Department at Idaho Power, Colleen is responsible for the safe construction of Idaho Power’s Transmission and Distribution system. Colleen began her career at Idaho Power as Station Design Engineer. During her 30-year career, Colleen has held the positions of Station Maintenance Supervisor, Regional Lines Operations Supervisor, Project Manager, Metering Manager, Lines Leader, and Software Application Support Manager. She is a third- generation Idahoan and enjoys hiking and camping in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho and many National Parks with her husband, Jeff.
1st Vice-Chair:
Jane Matthews – Boise School District
Jane lives in Boise with her husband and two cats. Their children and grandchildren all live elsewhere now. Jane has been a Kindergarten teacher in the Boise School District since 1985. She is a Life Member with 40 years experience with the Girl Scouts. She was at the National Roundup at Button Bay, Vermont, and she was a Juliette Low Awardee to Our Chalet. She has been a camp counselor, troop leader, day camp volunteer, badge parent, and Jubilation staff. She has served on the board of directors as a Member-At-Large, fourth Vice President, second Vice President in charge of Associations, Chair of the Nominating Committee, and is currently first Vice-Chair. She chairs the Fund Development Committee.

Tami Bergen – Caldwell School District
Tami is a Silver Sage Alumni, having multiple Girl Scout adventures as a Girl Scout member since the age of six. Tami is a Caldwell resident who is married with two children, a daughter (21 years) and a son (19 years). She earned a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Utica College. Tami has been employed by Caldwell School District for 11 years as an Occupational Therapist. Her main role in the school district is to ensure the special needs children she works with can access their learning environment as independently as possible. In her free time, Tami enjoys snowshoeing in the winter and hiking, camping, and working in her yard in the summer.

Kelly Wong – Hewlett-Packard
Kelly is a native Boise resident who is married with two children, a daughter (17 years) and a son (13 years). She earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Idaho and an MBA from Boise State University. She is a Vandal through and through! Kelly has been employed by Hewlett Packard for 19 years, currently in Global Supply Chain Services as a Strategic Procurement Manager. In her free time, Kelly enjoys skiing in the winter and bike riding and working in her yard in the summer. Most importantly, Kelly enjoys being a mom and participating in her children’s activities.

Brandon Siok – Eide Bailly, LLP
Brandon was born and raised near Washington D.C. Brandon spent a good portion of his childhood “battling it out” with his two sisters and four brothers. He attended the University of Maryland, earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Upon graduation he worked for an accounting firm outside Washington D.C. while pursing his MBA and in the fall of 2003 moved to Boise searching for a better quality of life. As a Senior Tax Manager with Eide Bailly LLP, he specializes in professional service firms. He and his wife of 10 years enjoy cooking, reading and spending time with their 2-year-old daughter.

Kate Salomon – Idaho Falls Post Register
Raleigh Ann Vachek – Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC
Raleigh is a Financial Advisor and holds a BA degree in Business Management from University of Northern Colorado and has 10 years experience in the investment consulting industry. She holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ credential and is a member of Boise Estate Planning Council, Financial Planning Association, and the Southwest Idaho Planned Giving Council.
Gail Kirkpatrick – Roby Financials
Gail was born and raised in California and came to Idaho in 1981 with her husband and daughter in search for a better place to live. Gail and her husband were able to transfer to Boise while continuing their work with IBM. Gail is currently working part-time with Roby Financials as a business systems consultant. She currently has a daughter and granddaughter living in Boise, and a stepson, daughter-in-law and a grandson who live Issaquah, Washington. She spends her time helping to take care of her granddaughter, volunteering in her school, working on the missions committee at her church, and the family selection committee at Habitat for Humanity.
Malia Kramer – Drake Cooper
Malia is a graduate of the University of Idaho with a B.S. in Communications with an emphasis in Advertising. She currently works as a project manager for Boise based advertising agency, Drake Cooper. Malia was an active Girl Scout member growing up and currently resides in Boise with her husband, Sam.
Kevin O'Brien – DL Evans Bank
Kevin is a Commercial Lender for D.L. Evans bank in Idaho Falls. He received his B.S. degree in Business Administration – Marketing, Management and Organizational Behavior from Idaho State University. While serving in the Army, he held positions ranging from S1 Staff Officer, Company Commander, Platoon Leader, and Finance Officer. Kevin is the past president of the Idaho Falls Symphony and currently serves on the Symphony Endowment Committee. Some of his other volunteer activities include the board of directors for Rotary, treasurer for Civitan, site chair for the March of Dimes, and the local United Way allocation panel. Up to now, his main involvement with the Girl Scouting has been through his wife and mother-in-law.
Dr. Susan Swetnam – Idaho State University
Susan earned her B.A. in English (with Highest Honors, Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Delaware in 1972 and her M.A. in English in 1974. She also earned her Ph.D. in English from the University of Michigan (where she was a Rackham Scholar) in 1979, and then came directly to teach in the English Department at ISU. Susan is the only ISU faculty member ever to win all three top awards: Distinguished Teacher, Distinguished Public Servant, and Distinguished Researcher. As the categories above note, she has done a great deal of work over the years with the Idaho Humanities Council, and she remains committed to work in public humanities.
Susan has published four books (2 scholarly, 2 creative nonfiction) and has another scholarly book in the press. She has recently finished another creative nonfiction manuscript. Susan has published several other articles and essays in scholarly journals, in national magazines (including Gourmet and Mademoiselle), and literary magazines.
Susan was married for 16 years to a poet and professor Ford Swetnam; he died in 2002. She had no children with Ford, but is the official godmother to three girls and considers the girls in my former scout troop to be my surrogate daughters. For fun she knits, cooks, and does light mountaineering, and run/race-walk. She is an avid reader, of course, and a vocalist. She adores travel.
Connie Miller – Icon Credit Union
Connie Miller graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree in Accounting. She started her career at the Girl Scouts of Silver Sage Council, working for 12 years as the accountant. Connie later went to work for Idaho Corporate Credit Union and Idahy Credit Union as Vice President of Finance for 12 years. She was responsible for financial management and information systems. During that time, Connie received her graduate level certification from Western CUNA Management School with High Honors. She was promoted to President/CEO of Icon Credit Union (formerly Idahy Credit Union) in April 2008. Connie is an honoree of the 2009 Women of Today and Tomorrow Award and recently, the Idaho Business Review’s 2010 Women of the Year. Connie has a wonderful and supportive husband, Neil, whom she has been married to for 26 years. She is most proud of her three sons, who have become incredible young men, Zachary (20), Jacob (16) and Nathaniel (13).
SENIOR GIRL SCOUT BOARD MEMBERS
Hanna Fischer
Fischer, a rising senior at Boise High School, has been actively involved with the Girl Scouts since she was in kindergarten. She’s earned her Girl Scout Bronze Award, Girl Scout Silver Award, and is in the process of starting the requirements to earn the Girl Scout Gold Award—the highest achievement in Girl Scouting.
Lauren Reeder
Reeder, a rising junior at Boise High School, has been actively involved with the Girl Scouts since she was in first grade. She’s earned her Girl Scout Bronze Award, served as treasurer of the Girl Scouts of Silver Sage Teen Advisory Committee, and in 2008, she attended the Girl Scouts of the USA’s Global Climate Change Leadership Program. Reeder also volunteers as a tutor in math and science at Boise High.
