Need to find a new home for an old cell phone?
We also accept used cell phones (and a few other things) which we send to Project KOPEG (Keep Our Planet Earth Green), and they give us money! In 2006, we raised $537.18 by participating in this fundraiser. Isn’t that great? In the past, we might have done this fundraiser slightly different, but here's how we’re doing it now:
1) There is a box in the lobby of Boise headquarters.
2) Anyone that wants to donate their used cell phone (or other items – see list below) should plan to drop it off at HQ, or give it to a membership specialist or staff. Volunteers are not required to drop off their items, unless they’re planning to go to HQ anyway.
We accept:
· Used cell phone
· iPods
· Mp3 Players
· Digital Cameras
· Palm Pilots
· BlackBerry Devices
· PDAs
· Small Printer Ink Cartridges
This is a tax-deductible donation. To receive a receipt, please ask the front desk at Boise headquarters, or call Monique Johns at 208.377.2011 ext.110 or e-mail mjohns@girlscouts-ssc.org.
